Dr. Wendy M. Gough is an associate professor in the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Bunkyo Gakuin University in Tokyo. She is the English Skills Coordinator and Writing Curriculum coordinator for her department. Ms. Gough’s primary field of research is in developing English writing curriculum and online/hybrid writing instruction. She is also interested in researching the use of fieldwork activities for developing intercultural skills and communicative competence in English and extensive reading.

From Chalkface to Interface: Challenges and Triumphs in Emergency Remote Teaching

While veterans of the virtual learning environment may have found the recent remote teaching requirements a welcome opportunity, most others adopted new technologies and teaching methods on an emergency basis.
